Joseph Blakelock

 

Died of wounds on 5/8/1916. He was Private 13615 Yorkshire Regiment. Born at Murton, Sunderland, he enlisted at Seaham Harbour and lived at Murton Colliery. He is commemorated on the Murton War Memorial and also on the Victoria Working Men’s Club Roll of Honour at Murton. Joseph is buried at Dalton-Le-Dale (Holy Trinity) Churchyard. His MIC reads – Victory and British War medals, he landed in France on 26/8/15.
