James Brown

 

Died on 17/3/1916. James was Private S/10329 1st Bn. Gordon Highlanders. He was born at Newmilns, Ayrshire, and enlisted at Ayr. His name appears on the Newmilns War Memorial. James is buried at Newmilns (or Loudoun) Cemetery, E. 77. His MIC reads – Victory, British War and 1915 Star medals, he landed in France on 29/9/15. His papers survive on Ancestry.
