Jim Gavins
Died on 7/5/1920 aged 37. He was Serjeant 23690 10th Bn. Durham Light Infantry. Jim is buried at Sheffield (Woodhouse) Cemetery, RB. 24. His grave is shared by his brother Fred Gavins, 41373 Northumberland Fusiliers who died on 27th December 1921 aged 35. Fred died outside the dates for commemoration by CWGC. The brothers also appear on the War Memorial in Woodhouse Market Square. MIC reads – Victory, British War, 1915 Star and Silver War Badge. He landed in France on 12/10/15.
