Arthur Matthews

Died on 24/9/1915 aged 23. He was Private 9997 4th (Queens Own) Hussars. Born at Old Town, Hastings, also enlisted and resided at Hastings. The son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Matthews of 2 Portland Villas, Portland Place, Hastings. MIC reads – Victory, British War and 1914 Star medals. Landing in France on 15/8/14. Arthur is buried at Sheffield Wadsley Churchyard, 1
