Adam Horsburgh Porteous

 

Died of his wounds on 30/7/1915. He was Lance Corporal 9993 1st Battalion, Royal Scots Fusiliers.
Born and enlisted at Edinburgh. He was on leave from serving in Africa when war broke out, sent to France landing on
16th August 1914. He was wounded 3 times. MIC reads – Victory, British War and 1914 Star medals.
Adam is buried at Edinburgh (North Merchiston) Cemetery, N. 134.

His brother Pte. Alexander Porteous of the Gordon Highlanders was killed in action on 6/9/1916.
