Arthur Roberts

He died of his wounds on 17/6/1916 aged 25. Arthur was Private 12294 Kings Shropshire Light Infantry. Born at Eccles, Lancs, he enlisted at Oswestry. The son of Mrs. Mary Jones of 13 Orchard street, Oswestry; husband of Mary Roberts of Oswestry. His MIC states – Victory, British War and 1915 Star medals, died 17-6-16, and he landed in France on 24/7/15. He is buried at Oswestry General Cemetery, X. N. C. 534.
