Philip St.George Duncan Smith

 

Died on 1/9/1917 aged 20 he was Private 41495 6th Bn. Lincolnshire Regiment, formerly #35712 South Staffordshire Regiment.  Born at Whiseley, he enlisted at Richmond and resided at Pocklington. The son of the Rev. John Philip Smith, Rector of Hockerton, and Mrs. Mary A. Smith of 8 York View, Pocklington, York. MIC – Victory and British War medals. He is buried at Hockerton (St. Nicholas) Churchyard, on east side of church porch.
