George Persimon Towell

Died of his wounds on 17/10/1917. George was Private 235354 1st Bn. Kings Own (Royal Lancaster Regiment), formerly # 3770 Middlesex Regiment. He had suffered gun shot wounds to his thigh, back and neck. MIC – Victory and British War medal, his papers survive on Ancestry. He is buried at New Southgate Cemetery, and
commemorated on the screen wall there.
