George Alexander McDonald Edwards

Sapper George of the Royal Engineers had suffered a dislocated shoulder after falling off a train engine at Peronne. He fell while onto the bank below while oiling engine # 1432. He was an engine driver for the North Eastern Railway before the war.
George  was at Wharncliffe from 9/11/1918 to 16/1/1919.
