Arthur John Stringer
Submitted by Cheryl Smith, Arthur's grand daughter.
Cheryl's grandparents were born at Birmingham, England. They emigrated to Canada with their 4 children in 1910. Her grandfather Arthur John Stringer, served in the Canadian Army first from October 1915 until December 1916. It seems he was injured and sent to Wharncliffe sometime in the spring of 1916. Documents show he was there in July and August of 1916. He enlisted once again in 1917. He lived quite a healthy life after the war, until his death at aged 65 in 1945.
